“Stirring Up Success: Every Child,
Every Day – One Recipe at a Time!”
This theme reflects our belief that success is built one day, one child, and one intentional action at a time. Just like a great dish, student success comes from the right ingredients: care, creativity, intentional planning, strong collaboration, and consistency across the board. When we bring our unique ingredients to the table and cook up something amazing—together we will ensure each student reaches their full potential!

How do I navigate Infinite Campus? *NEW LOOK
What are the grading expectations for teachers, and how often should grades be updated in the gradebook?
Please keep accurate grade books. All student work must be graded within five days of giving the assignment. There MUST be sufficient evidence of grades, reflecting the weighted categories listed above in the teacher’s grade book to justify each grade given. Also, at least two grades for each subject should be given each week. This will ensure an accurate grade for each child. Kindergarten uses a different grading scale and report card.
How do I post grades?
What if a student is making below a "C" in a subject?
A deficiency notice must be sent home 1.5 weeks before progress reports are sent home.
What should my subfolder include?

What should I do if I have a non-emergency maintenance issue? Can I tell a custodian directly?
For non-emergency maintenance issues, please email the head custodian directly. This ensures the request is properly documented and addressed efficiently. Avoid making requests in passing to custodians, as this can lead to delays or missed information.
How do I report my absences?
Since student achievement depends on qualified and competent teachers, you will need to come to work every day and on time. If you are unable to come to work, please notify the Principal, Assistant Principal and your Grade level representative/supervising teacher at least one hour prior to the report time of 7:00 AM on the day of your absence. You MUST (1) enter your absence in FrontLine, (2) complete and submit a Statement of Leave form to the bookkeeper. If you are ill the day before your absence or if you know in advance that you are going to be absent, you must submit (1) enter your absence in Frontline, (2) complete and submit a Statement of Leave form to the bookkeeper. ALL STATEMENT OF LEAVE FORMS MUST BE SUBMITTED TO THE BOOKKEEPER. You may communicate your absence by telephone ONLY. Also, remember it is your responsibility to input your absence into Sub System (AESOP) (678-874 SUBS).
Do I have duty-free lunch?
Teachers are required to and will have duty-free lunch at Idlewood Elementary. However, in order to ensure a structured and safe environment in the cafeteria throughout the school year, teachers are asked to eat with their students during the first two weeks of school and the last two weeks of school. During the first two weeks of school, teachers should teach and model appropriate lunchroom behavior while reinforcing the cafeteria essential agreements for their students. After that time, the cafeteria monitors will supervise the students.
